I wonder if any other empire has had such a plethera of distractions so as to numb the citizen. So many distractions that our news would rather cover then the boring policy initiatives that are destroying Americans from the bottom up.

I better have a few drink so that I can swallow what Bush is saying tonight at the State of the Union Address. I cannot stand that man or what he has done to America.
His own press secretary could not give a simple yes or no to whether or not America is better off today than when he took office.
For anyone who has fears about vote security, its an interesting read. There were disparities in most every county between the voting machine scanners and the hand counts.
My personal favorite is in one ward the top three top Democratic candidates lost a total of 110 votes.
I'm sure we'll have many more allegations and recounts in before this election is said and done. Here's to another presidency decided in court!
I have a dream that one day it will not be acceptable to merely espouse equality the day after beating a prostitute? MLK did a lot for civil rights and I commend him for it- but lets not forget or excuse abuse under any context.
Damn. I really want to vote for Obama. I keep looking for anything really to convince me not to vote for Hillary. I know many (including me) consider her a centrist, and I am struck with guilt for wanting to vote for a woman who stood by her man during adultery, DOMA, and NAFTA. But how can I choose a visionary over an achiever? A 20-year activist over a 35-year one? The ivory tower over someone who has lived and breathed politics since her college days (I'll forgive her for her youthful republicanism).
I really do want to vote for Obama. The man oozes charisma. He would be a good leader. A uniter. An inspiration. But is that enough?
Consider if Hilary did make it- it's not that she wouldn't be able to do some good... it's that there would be so many road blocks that it would do more harm. Republicans would try to make it even harder for her...
